Things to

Finding New Teachers,
Considering New Things

This is not about chanting, burning incense, wearing apostolic sandals

or climbing to a mountaintop only to freeze your arse off.  Although be my guest.

This is about getting ideas that go beyond the "practical" side of caregiving, family politics, or challenging work environments.  It goes beyond even basic personal growth.  These resources focus on the "how to" of Calm, when our lives are crazy, bizarre and out of control.  The combination of personal growth and deeper contemplation in The Essentials, are the secret keys to how our life turns out.

If you are willing to just stick your big toe in the pool, be prepared to be amazed.

Dr. Annette Childs

I have known Annette for 10 years.  She was my counselor every week for 7 years after the death of my ex-husband, losing my 2 pups, a plane crash, the diagnosis of Mom's Alzheimer's and the leap into caregiving - all of which occurred within a 6-month

time-period in 2011.

I would not be alive today if it were

not for Annette.

Her wisdom and gifts continue to

guide my days.  -Vic

"Trying To Control Something I Absolutely Cannot Control"

A personal word from Vic about Gabrielle and this video:

How many times have you wished things were different with caregiving?

I, personally, lost count.

Gabrielle gives 5 tips to help us accept our lives as they are,

rather than resisting, wishing, or demanding our lives be different.

Be open-minded to her words and wisdom.  They will give you a sense of

relief, safety, and the true knowing you are exactly on the path you should be,

even if it is the most difficult path on the planet as a caregiver.

PS:  Try not to get hung up on her words that may be alien or woo-woo, i.e.,

"Universe,"  "God," "Spirit,"  "Soul," "Spiritual," "Faith," etc.,

that is, if these words make you uncomfortable.
